Gabe Hadd is a 27-year-old artist who used a controversial  
"underground railroad" to escape over state lines to flee his court- 
ordered involuntary psychiatric drugging, a journey that was featured  
in a front page article in the _Wall St. Journal_.

About 42 USA states have laws that allow citizens to be administered  
psychiatric drugs against their will even while living peacefully in  
their own homes out in the community.

But when your home is made into a psychiatric institution, if you are  
not under a criminal charge, there is a loophole.

You can walk out your door.

A number of individuals have fled over state lines to escape their  
outpatient forced psychiatric drugging, but have found varying levels  
of support.

GABE HADD BRIEF BIO:

Gabriel Hadd is a 27-year-old artist and activist who underwent  
pychiatric treatments between 1999 and 2004. He tried many  
unsuccessful attempts to escape from a revolving-door system of  
forced drugging and institutionalization. Gabe said, "In 2003 I began  
working with MindFreedom International. In 2004 I made a contact in  
Colorado who provided a 'landing-zone' for my flight from a forced  
out-patient commitment order. Through careful planning, with the help  
of a safe and supportive environment and with the aid of experienced  
former mental patients, I began the journey toward real recovery."  
Gabe currently lives in Saginaw, Michigan and is now working hard on  
a career in music, writing and activism. His work can be found at
